About the Collective
Simply put the DIY-HER Collective is my way to empower women to own HER Tools, HER Terms, HER Transformations. We will have memberships, handy woman services, events, workshops, and homeownership programs. It's very apparent that we need a space of safety and resources in the construction field and new options for affordable homebuying.

Meet The Owner
Jenise Taylor
Coined 'Hardware Harriet' by those close to her, knows firsthand what it means to long for stability and a place to truly call home. Before graduating high school, she had lived in over 32 different homes, between Charlotte, NC and Queens, NY. Navigating the challenges of housing insecurity at a young age sparked a deep determination not only to create a better future for herself and her children, but to help other women and families do the same.
Today, as a licensed Realtor in North and South Carolina, a construction professional, and the founder of DIY-HER Collective, Jenise brings together more than a decade of hands-on renovation, automotive experience and over eight years in real estate. From repairing roofs and bathrooms to building gazebos and tackling home repairs, she has lived the work she teaches.
Jenise’s mission is simple: to empower women especially low- to moderate-income buyers to take control of their housing journeys, build wealth through smart renovations, and create the security she once wished for herself. Through DIY-HER Collective, she’s creating a sisterhood where women gain the tools, knowledge, and confidence to transform homes and lives.
