Ready to learn the auto lingo?

Tired of getting played at the auto shop?

For generations, women have been drivers, leaders, and decision-makers yet the auto industry has often left us out of the conversation. HER Ride 101 is designed to change that narrative by putting knowledge and confidence back into women’s hands.

Learning basic car care isn’t just about fixing things, it’s about freedom, safety, and self-reliance. From daily commutes to road trips, every woman deserves to feel in control of her vehicle and her peace of mind.

Instructor: Jenise Taylor
Founder of DIY-HER Collective, Realtor, Mechanic and Handywoman, Jenise combines years of construction and mechanical experience to teach women how to feel confident maintaining, repairing, and improving what they own from homes to horsepower.

Want to be safe on the road?

Our auto workshops are a 4 or 6 hour hands-on automotive experience designed for women, providing an engaging space for attendees to step into the garage, roll up their sleeves, and gain confidence in their vehicle service maintenance. Let's get interactive and fun with no crazy, over-your-head car talk.

We offer practical and easy tips like, what is the purpose of coolant?  How can I tell if I need brakes?  What do the letters on the side of my tire mean? What can I touch under the hood of my car?  What should I not touch? and much more!!
